Cover: Specific defects of hindbrain central artery development are observed in sgIIb–/–;Tg(kdrl:EGFP) zebrafish embryos (right), compared with Tg(kdrl:EGFP) embryos (left), by in vivo confocal imaging. Consistently, the percentage of phosphorylated histone H3 (PH3)-positive endothelial cells (ECs) within central arteries is significantly decreased in sgIIb–/– mutant embryos. ECs are labeled with GFP (green), the cells in M-phase are stained with anti-PH3 antibody (red), and DNA is stained with DAPI (blue). See pages 388–401 by Tao et al. for details.
